Neighborhoods for Happiness

I took this class in concurrency with my minor in Sustainability. In this workshop, focused on continuing the revitalization of a local neighborhood through research, design and implementation that simultaneously improves sustainability and residential happiness. In my group, focused on preservation and beautification of the neighborhood's features, we worked with locals to rebuild and restore parts of homes that were of importance to the people. From benches to gardens, we worked to keep the homes in perfect condition. The class involves collaboration with other students, community residents and stakeholders to move toward sustainability. Being one in nine student led groups, each focused on different areas, I was able to collaborate and connect with other groups working on different projects with a similar purpose. See some of our work here.
